The museum Mantova Collezioni Antiche and the Tempio Leon Battista Alberti have a specialised library open to the public.
Access to the service is free of charge.
Book loan is individual and is obtained by providing the library staff a valid identity document; the membership card that is issued can also be used at the Biblioteca Teresiana and the Biblioteca Baratta and must be kept and presented when requested.
Citizens resident or domiciled in the Province of Mantua and students enrolled at the University of Mantua are eligible for loans.

Book lending
The loan lasts 30 days, with the possibility, also by telephone request (Phone 0376-338791), of renewal for 15 days, if the book has not been reserved by others in the meantime. A maximum number of 10 volumes may be borrowed at the same time and must be returned without being underlined or damaged in any way.
Excluded from the loan are periodicals, directories and works useful for consultation on the premises and all material for which the Library considers preservation a priority (e.g. valuable editions, complete series …) and all multimedia material for the period stipulated by the law protecting copyright.
The library provides an inter-library loan service if requested.
