Study and Documentation Centre on Civic Collections

In line with the most modern guidelines in the museum sector and in implementation of the Lombardy Region’s resolution of December 2002 concerning the ‘Criteria and Guidelines for the Recognition of Museums in Lombardy’ (minimum requirement no.12), a new museum service open and accessible to the public was established at Palazzo San Sebastiano in 2003: the ‘Documentation and Study Centre on Civic Collections’.

The office offers the public a free information and documentation service on the municipal historical-artistic heritage by consulting the S.I.R.Be.C. (Regional Information System for Cultural Heritage), the digital database where works of civic property preserved in municipal museums, the Ducal Palace and other locations are catalogued.
