Kaskara sword and elliptical shield-stick

This shield, elliptical in shape with elongated, pointed ends, belongs to the stick-shield type. A wooden rod was in fact inserted into the inner central groove and fixed at four points by means of leather strips passing through the thickness of the leather, and the rod acted as a handle.
